Ingredients

  • 1 can Fruit cocktail 1 Pound 1 ounce size
  • 1 c. Minute rice
  • 2 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1/2 c. Slivered almonds
  • 1 c. Cold Whip

Directions

  1. Drain fruit cocktail, reserving liquid. Add in sufficient water to make 1 c..
  2. Place liquid in a 1 1/2 qt casserole. Cover with wax paper. Microwave at high (100%) till liquid boils, 2 1/2 to 3 min. Stir in rice and sugar.
  3. Cover. Let stand 10 to 12 min. Stir in fruit cocktail and nuts. Chill.
  4. Just before serving, mix in Cold Whip.
  5. Makes 6 servings.
