  • 10 oz quality coarsely chopped chocolate
  • 7 oz plus 1 Tbls unsalted butter cut up
  • 5 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa for dusting pan

Directions

  1. Preheat oven 350 degrees
  2. Butter 9" springform pan and dust with cocoa.
  3. If springform pan is not watertight wrap outside with foil up to rim.
  4. Melt butter and chocolate in microwave & stir til smooth.
  5. In medium bowl whisk together eggs and sugar, then whisk in chocolate/butter til smooth and well combined.
  6. Pour mixture into prepared pan. Put into larger pan and pour enough hot water to come 1/2 way up the side of the cake pan.
  7. Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes.
  8. Serve with Ice cream, or whipped cream and a good port!
