Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • ½ cup warm water
  • 1 ½ tablespoons active dry yeast
  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 6 cups rye flour, divided
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons caraway seeds
  • 2 tablespoons white sesame seeds
  • Vegetable or Canola oil, for greasing the baking sheets
