- Ingredients:
- One big apple (we used red delicious)
- 14 caramel candy pieces
- 3 tbsp. heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup of each topping (crushed pecans, crushed graham crackers, mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, etc...)
- A couple of tablespoons of lemon juice

,%20Baked%20Zucchini%20Fries,%20Roasted%20Pumpkin%20Seeds,%20and%20these%20lovely%20Caramel%20Apple%20Pops.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20children%20absolutely%20enjoyed%20everything%20that%20we%20made.%20I've%20been%20teaching%20cooking%20classes%20for%20six%20months%20now,%20and%20it%20never%20ceases%20to%20amaze%20me%20how%20curious%20and%20motivated%20these%20children%20are%20to%20learn.%20Their%20brains%20are%20like%20little%20sponges,%20ready%20to%20soak%20up%20all%20of%20the%20culinary%20information%20that%20comes%20their%20way.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThere%20really%20isn't%20any%20method%20to%20this%20recipe,%20except%20when%20producing%20the%20caramel%20ganache.%20Even%20making%20that,%20however,%20is%20pretty%20darn%20simple.%20This%20is%20the%20perfect%20treat%20to%20make%20if%20you%20are%20looking%20for%20an%20easier,%20less%20messy%20alternative%20to%20the%20age%20old%20caramel%20apple.%20You%20slice%20some%20apples,%20place%20a%20lollipop%20stick%20into%20each%20piece,%20make%20your%20caramel,%20drizzle%20the%20caramel%20onto%20the%20slices,%20then%20garnish%20with%20your%20favorite%20toppings.%20I%20mean...come%20on...it%20simply%20cannot%20get%20any%20easier%20then%20that!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20the%20picture%20above,%20I%20used%20regular%20chocolate%20chips,%20white%20chocolate%20chips,%20candy%20corn%20M%20&%20M's,%20chopped%20pecans,%20and%20crushed%20cinnamon%20graham%20crackers.%20In%20cooking%20class,%20we%20used%20all%20of%20these%20except%20for%20the%20pecans.%20Due%20to%20possible%20food%20allergies,%20we%20replaced%20those%20with%20mini%20marshmallows.%20The%20children%20had%20fun%20putting%20the%20lollipop%20sticks%20through%20the%20apples,%20drizzling%20their%20own%20caramel,%20and%20placing%20their%20toppings%20of%20choice%20onto%20their%20slices.%20We%20all%20enjoyed%20making%20these%20and%20I%20hope%20you%20will%20too!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECulinary%20Skills%20Kids%20Will%20Learn:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E10%20lollipop%20sticks%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20Slice%20the%20apple%20into%20medium%20sized%20wedges%20and%20sprinkle%20the%20lemon%20juice%20onto%20each%20piece%20to%20prevent%20browning.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20In%20a%20microwave%20safe%20bowl,%20place%20the%2014%20pieces%20of%20caramel%20candy%20and%20the%203%20tbsp.%20of%20heavy%20whipping%20cream%20inside.%20Microwave%20on%20high%20for%2030%20seconds%20and%20stir.%20Repeat%20in%2030%20second%20intervals%20until%20the%20caramel%20fully%20melts%20and%20looks%20thick%20and%20smooth.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.%20Place%20a%20lollipop%20stick%20into%20each%20apple%20piece%20and%20drizzle%20the%20caramel%20on%20top.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4.%20Garnish%20with%20toppings%20of%20your%20choice.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
