Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. - All-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1/4 tsp - Salt
  • 1 Tbsp. - Baking pwdr
  • 1 1/3 c. - Water
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1 ounce - Sliced white meat of turkey
  • 1 ounce - Sliced Swiss cheese
  • 1 ounce - Sliced ham
  • 2 slc - Egg Bread

Directions

  1. Batter:Sift flour, salt and baking pwdr together. Add in water to beaten egg, then add in to flour mix and mix well. Set aside.
  2. Make a sandwich using turkey first, then Swiss cheese, and then ham. Cut sandwich into quarters using toothpicks to hold sandwich together. Dip sandwich in egg batter and fry in 360 degrees canola oil till golden. Remove toothpicks and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with raspberry jelly.
  3. A tasty southern specialty which makes an everyday sandwich in to an occasion. The light egg batter appeals to just about everyone and gives the dish a delightfully different accent.
