One of my favorite fresh vegetable dishes my mom makes and I do too is fresh cut off the cob Queen corn. We prefer the white corn over the yellow. White just tastes sweeter and it's always good to get it when it gets ready around July 4. Microwaving it in a rice cooker is the best idea instead of half a day in the kitchen over the pot on the stove. We cut it off, cover with water, salt, pepper, little Canola oil or a tap of butter whichever you prefer and a little bit of sugar and let it cook for about 40 minutes or so until you can taste it done.

Can't wait to try some of those fresh vegetable, corn bread, and catfish recipes! There are certainly lots of other foods to try...but none much better than those!
