If you are a fan of Thai cuisine, then you must try Boon's Family Thai
BBQ whenever you visit Farmington, New Mexico. While the storefront
may not look exotic, it is what is inside that is exciting. We were cheerfully
greeted upon entering; our waiter was very attentive and friendly; we had
fun while enjoying our meal.

%20325-5556%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWebsite:%20www.boonsthai.com%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20are%20a%20fan%20of%20Thai%20cuisine,%20then%20you%20must%20try%20Boon's%20Family%20Thai%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBBQ%20%20whenever%20you%20visit%20Farmington,%20New%20Mexico.%20%20While%20the%20storefront%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Emay%20not%20look%20exotic,%20it%20is%20what%20is%20inside%20that%20is%20exciting.%20%20We%20were%20cheerfully%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Egreeted%20upon%20entering;%20our%20waiter%20was%20very%20attentive%20and%20friendly;%20we%20had%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Efun%20while%20enjoying%20our%20meal.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20interior%20of%20the%20restaurant%20is%20small%20with%20booths%20lining%20the%20front%20and%20one%20side.%20%20However,%20tables%20are%20spaced%20so%20that%20diners%20are%20not%20elbow%20to%20elbow;%20giving%20a%20sense%20of%20intimacy%20and%20privacy.%20%20Even%20though%20there%20were%20other%20diners%20there,%20my%20husband%20and%20I%20felt%20like%20we%20had%20the%20place%20to%20ourselves.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20menu%20is%20five%20pages%20of%20appetizers,%20soups,%20salads,%20noodle%20dishes,%20curry,%20specialties,%20house%20favorites,%20seafood,%20desserts%20and%20drinks.%20%20All%20the%20descriptions%20were%20enticing%20and%20we%20wanted%20to%20try%20almost%20everything.%20%20There%20are%20five%20types%20of%20curry,%20and%20they%20sometimes%20offer%20a%20specialty%20curry%20such%20as%20mango.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20eggrolls%20are%20crispy,%20yet%20delicate%20with%20easily%20eaten%20shredded%20vegetables%20inside.%20%20The%20sauce%20is%20sweet%20and%20light;%20and%20that%20will%20be%20the%20key%20word%20for%20sauces%20at%20Boon's%20-%20Light.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20Moon%20Cakes%20are%20a%20total%20surprise%20with%20a%20strong%20scent%20of%20shrimp,%20but%20large%20taste%20of%20chicken.%20%20Again%20the%20sauce%20was%20sweet%20and%20light,%20but%20this%20time%20with%20crushed%20peanuts%20floating%20on%20top;%20it%20certainly%20enhanced%20the%20flavor%20of%20the%20Moon%20Cakes.%20%20This%20is%20the%20type%20of%20appetizer%20that%20would%20make%20a%20wonderful%20snack%20while%20watching%20a%20late%20night%20movie.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENormally%20I%20would%20order%20a%20Pad%20Thai,%20but%20the%20Rad%20Na%20caught%20my%20eye;%20the%20noodles%20are%20similar%20to%20those%20used%20in%20Mandarin%20style%20Chow%20Fun%20and%20were%20smooth%20and%20luscious.%20%20The%20shrimp%20had%20that%20scrunch%20that%20shows%20it%20was%20cooked%20well;%20the%20vegetables%20had%20a%20slight%20crunch%20to%20them;%20the%20brown%20sauce%20was%20light%20and%20lended%20just%20enough%20flavor%20to%20enhance,%20not%20mask%20the%20other%20ingredients.%20%20If%20you%20don't%20like%20shrimp,%20you%20can%20order%20it%20with%20chicken,%20beef%20or%20pork.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHawaiian%20Delight%20is%20indeed%20a%20delight%20of%20a%20thin%20cutlet%20each%20of%20pork,%20beef%20and%20chicken;%20so%20tender,%20each%20could%20easily%20be%20cut%20with%20a%20fork.%20%20The%20sweet%20plum%20sauce%20did%20not%20overpower,%20and%20here's%20that%20word%20again,%20light.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20all%20that,%20we%20had%20enough%20room%20left%20to%20share%20a%20dessert,%20the%20Homemade%20Coconut%20Ice%20Cream;%20light,%20airy,%20smooth%20and%20simply%20delicious.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGoing%20to%20Boon's%20Thai%20Family%20BBQ%20is%20like%20taking%20a%20culinary%20adventure%20to%20Thailand;%20Take%20the%20Trip!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMary%20Cokenour%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
