Servings: 1
Ingredients
- 1 bag , (12 ounce) of fresh cranberries
- 1 c. Water
- Â Â Whole cloves
- Â Â Sticks of cinnamon
- Â Â Artificial sweetener to taste, I used about 15 or possibly 16 packets of Equal
- 1 tsp Vanilla, or possibly to taste
Directions
- Cook cranberries, water, cloves and cinnamon sticks together in a pot till the cranberries are bursting. remove from heat and add in sweetener. Let cold a bit and add in vanilla. cold and chill. The vanilla gives it a complex mysterious taste which is good. I undersweetened it this time for an experiment. As it accompanies meat, I do not want the sweetness to overwhelm the turkey. I do not think this wil work too well for small children. I do remember which when my kids were little they preferred the canned, jellied stuff to the home made whole berry sauce with cinnamon etc.
