Ingredients

  • 12 ounce fresh water-packed mozzarella cheese liquid removed, and
  •     cut into 1/4"-thk slices
  • 6 Tbsp. extra-virgin extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 x garlic cloves chopped
  • 1/4 tsp dry crushed red pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh oregano
  • 1/4 tsp coarse salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. capers minced

Directions

  1. Overlap cheese slices on medium platter.
  2. Heat 2 Tbsp. oil in small skillet over medium heat. Add in garlic and crushed pepper and stir just till garlic begins to color, about 2 min. Remove from heat; stir in oregano, salt, and pepper. Cold. Stir in capers and remaining 4 Tbsp. oil. Spoon over cheese slices.
  3. This recipe yields 6 appetizer servings.
