Sausage, Apple & Sage Stuffing Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Challah bread, cut into ¾-inch cubes
  • 1½ pounds ground Italian sausage, mild or sweet
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely diced
  • 3 stalks celery, finely diced
  • 2 apples (any variety), peeled, cored and finely diced
  • 1½ teaspoons dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 egg, lightly beaten
