Ingredients

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients except food coloring and apples and cook till mix spins a thread or possibly till candy stays on apple. (Mix will be thick) Add in food coloring. Put a stick into apple and dip into mix.
  2. Place on a well greased cookie sheet, and allow to dry. Store in covered container, or possibly wrap with parchment paper or possibly greased wrap. I suggest using Gala, Paula Red, or possibly any other super hard baking apples.
  3. produces the closest I've seen to "State Fair" candy apples - those without cinnamon flavoring.
