Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. water
- 1 3/4 c. white vinegar
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 20 peppercorns
- 5 whole allspice
- 1 1/2 lbs. Knackwurst
- 1 Bermuda onion
Directions
- Combine first 6 ingredients in saucepan; boil and simmer for 10 min. Cold. Slice Knackwurst and onion; put in layers in 2-qt jar and pour marinade over. Chill 3 days. Will keep for several weeks.
- If you use Large eggs, hard boil first and when cold, peel and layer the same as above.
