Ingredients

1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/4 c. light brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. dairy half and half
2 tbsp. light corn syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 c. butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

In 1 1/2 qt casserole stir together cornstarch and brown sugar. Stir in half and half, corn syrup and salt. Add in butter. Cover. Microwave at high 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 min, till thickened and sugar is dissolved. Add in vanilla and stir till smooth and well blended. Serve hot or possibly cool. Makes 1 1/2 c..
