Lemon-Buttermilk Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 (.25 ounce) package instant yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1 egg, room temperature, slightly beaten
  • 3 1/4 cups to 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries, optional
  • Frosting:
  • 2 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons freshly grated lemon peel
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
