2 things I always think of when I make Cannoli's. The Godfather and "HOLY COW!",Phil Rizzuto. I know these are good. I do not like sweets. Once in a while, Ill get a taste for a snickers. I do not eat pies, cakes, whatever. How do I know its good? My kids say so.

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, stir ricotta cheese with 1 cup confectioners sugar until combined. Add almonds, chocolate chips and almond liqueur ( 1/8 teaspoon almond extract mixed with 1 tablespoon water can be substituted for the almond liqueur.)
  2. Carefully spoon into cannoli shells (or pipe from a pastry bag), filling from the center out.
  3. There are recipes for making Cannoli shells. They are fairly complicated to make. I usually just buy the shells unless I'm going to a party or something.
  4. Sprinkle individual serving plates with powdered sugar and cocoa, or sprinkle on cannoli. Garnish plates with cherries.
