Ingredients
- 1 loaf Texas style sliced bread (or possibly French bread)
- 6 large eggs
- 1/4 c. cream (or possibly lowfat milk)
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Beat large eggs, cream, vanilla, and cinnamon. Dip bread slices into egg mix till well soaked. In a separate bowl, heat butter and mix with brown sugar. In a large baking pan (9 x 13 inch), pour 1/2 brown sugar mix into pan to cover bottom. Add in prepared bread and pour remaining brown sugar mix over top of bread. Bake for 35 min (checking occasionally) at 350 degrees. Toast is now ready to serve syrup and all.
