Ingredients

  • 2 gal 1 qt tomato juice
  • 3 Tbsp onion, finely chopped
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 Tbsp, 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp, 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 12 oz margarine
  • 1 1/2 cup flour

Directions

  1. Add onion, bay leaves and seasoning to tomato juice. Heat to boiling point.
  2. Add soda.
  3. Melt margarine and add flour. Stir until blended. Cook 5 minutes.
