%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESince%20we%20had%20a%20bag%20of%20pecans%20in%20the%20freezer%20%E2%80%93%20courtesy%20of%20my%20husband%E2%80%99s%20former%20landlord%20who%20has%20a%20pecan%20tree%20in%20his%20yard%20%E2%80%93%20I%20thought%20I%E2%80%99d%20make%20a%20gluten%20free%20version%20of%20Martha%20Stewart%E2%80%99s%20Sorghum-Sweetened%20Chocolate%20Pecan%20Pie.%20%20I%20had%20made%20it%20at%20Thanksgiving%20and%20loved%20the%20mixture%20of%20bourbon,%20sorghum,%20coconut%20palm%20sugar,%20and%20chocolate%20along%20with%20the%20pecans.%20Plus,%20it%20gave%20me%20an%20excuse%20to%20use%20some%20leftover%20chocolate.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20used%20a%20premade%20gluten%20free%20crust%20from%20Wholly%20Wholesome.%20I%20wasn%E2%80%99t%20totally%20happy%20with%20it%20as%20too%20hard%20to%20cut!%20Next%20time%20I%20use%20the%20crust%20(the%20package%20came%20with%20two),%20I%20won%E2%80%99t%20prebake%20it%20as%20maybe%20that%E2%80%99ll%20help.%20Feel%20free%20to%20use%20your%20favorite%20gluten%20free%20pie%20crust%20recipe,%20mix,%20or%20premade%20crust.%20Or%20try%20making%20a%20crust%20out%20of%20rice%20cakes%20like%20I%20did%20with%20my%20Chocolate%20and%20Almond%20Freezer%20Pie.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELike%20my%20freezer%20pie,%20this%20is%20not%20a%20light%20dessert,%20so%20make%20sure%20to%20serve%20up%20small%20pieces!%20However,%20I%20promise%20not%20to%20come%20over%20with%20the%20Diet%20Patrol%20if%20you%20want%20to%20serve%20it%20up%20with%20a%20scoop%20of%20ice%20cream%20or%20some%20whipped%20cream.%20In%20my%20opinion,%20it%E2%80%99s%20yummy%20and%20decadent%20enough%20without%20the%20added%20goodies.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20oven%20to%20350%20degrees.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20large%20bowl,%20whisk%20together%20gluten%20free%20all-purpose%20baking%20mix,%20coconut%20palm%20sugar,%20and%20salt.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStir%20in%20eggs%20just%20enough%20to%20combine%20all%20the%20ingredients.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStir%20in%20bourbon,%20sorghum,%20pecans,%20and%20chocolate.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20melted%20butter%20into%20bowl%20and%20stir%20until%20thoroughly%20combined.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20pie%20shell%20on%20a%20baking%20sheet.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20pie%20filling%20into%20shell%20and%20bake%20for%2035%20minutes.%20The%20top%20should%20be%20set%20but%20the%20center%20may%20be%20slightly%20gooey.%20(Test%20by%20jiggling%20the%20pan.%20The%20center%20may%20move%20a%20bit,%20but%20the%20sides%20won%E2%80%99t.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECool%20completely%20on%20a%20wire%20rack.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServe%20at%20room%20temperature%20and%20store%20in%20the%20refrigerator.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
