Ingredients
- 2 lb dry black lentils
- 1 quart + 1 c. chicken stock
- 1 x diced vidalia onion
- 1 tsp minced oregano (fresh)
- 1 tsp minced basil (fresh)
- 1 tsp cayenne
- 1 tsp white pepper
Directions
- PreparationIn a bowl, soak legumes over night in a heavy bottom pot. Add in all ingredients. Boil for 30 min. Reduce heat to simmer and simmer an additional 10 min set aside.
