Ingredients
- 2 lb dry lima beans
- 2 can whole corn
- 4 x onions, quartered
- 2 Tbsp. melted bacon grease
- 2 piece smoked ham hocks
- 3 quart water
Directions
- Soak beans in water in large pot 3-4 hrs. Drain and reserve. Bring 3qts water to boil in large pot and then add in soaked beans. Cook at moderate boil for 10 min then add in corn, ham hocks, and onions. Salt and pepper to taste. Reduce heat and cook for 1 hour on a low heat.
