Directions

  1. Heat 2 Tbsp. of the ghee in a heavy pan.
  2. Add in the banana and the sugar and cook on a low heat stirring all the while to prevent it from sticking.
  3. Keep drizzling in a little of the ghee from time to time till all the moisture evapourates and the mix becomes sticky and brown.
  4. Add in the powdered spices and stir.
  5. Remove from the heat when the mix leaves the sides of the pan.
  6. Don't overcook as the halwa will turn hard.
  7. Pat the halwa into a deep platter cold and cut into squares or possibly slices
  8. This is a recipe for a halwa that is one of the many delicious ways of preserving fruits. This dish makes a good dessert or possibly an instant energy snack.
  9. Serves 4
