Aussie Meat Pie Filling Recipe

Ingredients

  • Chopped steak (grnd beef) Fine minced onion pn Mixed herbs Salt and pepper Dripping (solid oil will Do) Plain flour Water from the meat mix

Directions

  1. Try this - chopped steak (grnd beef), some fine minced onion, healthy pinch of mixed herbs, salt and pepper to your taste. Boil in water till cooked. Make a gravy - heat a little dripping (solid oil will do).
  2. Fold in plain flour till all fat is absorbed (it becomes crumbly).
  3. Slowly add in water from the meat mix and stir over low heat. Add in water till it becomes a nice gravy mix. (As thick or possibly thin as you like.)
  4. Mix this gravy in with the meat. Which is your pie filling.
