About me
Like millions of other women, I'm a very busy mom working at juggling a family life with a career as a marketing professional. I enjoy cooking, but often find myself falling into cooking "ruts" due to our schedule. My husband does not enjoy cooking, but enjoys mine! Recently we have started a new eating regimen for weight loss and just general health / allergy relief limiting dairy and wheat gluten.
Lately I have been into Italian dishes, grilling and "quick" type meals whether that be cooktop, microwave, oven or slow cooked in the crockpot.
Cooking Influences
My appreciation for preparing meals undoubtedly comes from my grandmother and mother. They spent countless hours preparing wonderful dishes whether it be for a regular week night dinner or a special occasion. Great memories turns into appreciation later in life - things like how did their gravy always turn out so well, deviled eggs, chicken salad, etc.! As an adult, I have to give credit to the Food Network for my cooking abilities stepping up a notch and appreciation of a wider range of dishes.
