White Russian Pound Cake–and a Vent! Recipe

Ingredients

  • 15 oz (3 cups) AP flour
  • 1/4 t baking soda
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 15 T whole milk (see directions, 1 cup minus 1 tablespoon)
  • 2 T Kahlua (coffee liquor), divided
  • 2 t vanilla
  • 8 oz (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 21 oz (2 1/2 cups plus 2 T) granulated sugar, preferably superfine (I did not have)
  • 6 large eggs
  • For the glaze:
  • 2 T Kahlua (coffee liquor)
  • 1 T vanilla vodka, such as Stoli
  • 5 T whole milk
  • 8 1/2 oz (2 cups) confectioners’ sugar, plus more as needed
