Directions

Method
Wash the chestnuts thoroughly and place them into a bowl full of water. Leave them to soak for about 10 hours.
Boil the chestnuts in fresh water. Add the rest of the ingredients and leave to simmer until the chestnuts are tender. Serve very hot.
