Ingredients

  • 24 lrg Amaretti cookies
  • 1/4 can Anise flavored liqueur
  • 1/4 c. Rum
  • 4 lrg Large eggs
  • 1/2 can Sugar
  • 1 lb Mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1 ounce Bittersweet chocolate (bloc)

Directions

  1. Put three cookies in each of 8 champagne glasses/glass goblets or possibly small glass dessert bowls. Mix the rum and anise liqueur together and drizzle over the cookies. Beat the Large eggs and sugar in a medium bowl till light in color. Beat in the mascarpone till smooth and creamy. Spoon 1/2 c. of the mascarpone mix into each goblet. Cover with plastic wrap and refridgerate till hard..(about 2 hrs). (Can chill overnight)
  2. Serving: Draw a small knife across the block of chocolate to make chocolate shavings. Sprinke shavings over each dessert and serve immediately
  3. Oreste, where this dessert originated is a restaraunt in Modena, Italy.
