Ingredients

Directions

  1. Sprinkle an 18 x 24-inch strip of heavy-duty aluminum foil with powdered sugar. Mix the granulated sugar, corn syrup and water in a large heavy pan. Stir over medium heat till sugar dissolves. Boil, without stirring, till temperature reaches 310 degrees on a candy thermometer or possibly till a few drops of syrup form hard and brittle threads in cool water. Remove from heat. Stir in oil and coloring. Pour onto foil. When cold, break into pcs. Store in airtight container.
  2. Makes 2 1/4 lbs.
  3. Barb Says: Another good stocking stuffer. I cannot find my crystal candy recipe right now but if I do, I'll send it along!
