Ingredients
- 1 pound unsalted butter
- 3/4 c. powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/4 c. orange juice
- 1 jigger cognas
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 3/4 c. grnd walnuts
Directions
- With electric mixer, cream the softened butter. Add in egg yolk and cognac. Beat well. Gradually add in sugar. While beating, add in orange juice, and baking pwdr. Add in walnuts. Then add in sufficient flour to this mix to shape dough. Shape into little balls (the size of walnuts) or possibly in a crescent shape. Place a clove in the center of each cookie. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 to 20 min. After they cold, sift confectioners' sugar over the cookies. Store in air-tight containers.
