%20marshmallows,%20not%20the%20mini%20ones%20that%20I%20could%20easily%20throw%20on%20top%20of%20each,%20like%20these%20Hot%20Chocolate%20Cookies.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20thinking%20about%20it%20for%20a%20few%20minutes,%20I%20decided%20to%20try%20making%20cookie%20bars%20instead.%20%20Judah%20was%20a%20little%20disappointed%20that%20we%20weren%E2%80%99t%20making%20round%20cookies%20after%20all,%20and%20I%20was%20a%20little%20hesitant%20that%20they%20would%20even%20turn%20out%20as%20I%E2%80%99d%20hoped.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20better%20believe%20that%20once%20I%20removed%20these%20from%20the%20oven,%20let%20them%20cool%20a%20little%20and%20then%20took%20a%20bite%E2%80%A6I%20was%20thrilled!%20%20Over%20beyond%20thrilled!%20%20I%20couldn%E2%80%99t%20wait%20for%20Ben%20to%20get%20home%20to%20try%20them,%20and%20he%20loved%20them%20just%20as%20much.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20look%20a%20little%20fancy,%20but%20they%20are%20very%20simple.%20%20Mix%20up%20a%20cookie%20base%20with%20M&M%E2%80%99s%20stirred%20in,%20then%20press%20about%203/4%20of%20the%20dough%20into%20a%209%C3%9713-inch%20pan.%20%20Next,%20layer%2024%20marshmallows%20evenly%20into%20the%20pan%20in%20a%20grid-like%20pattern,%20and%20then%20scoop%20the%20rest%20of%20the%20dough%20in%20between%20each%20marshmallow%20(20%20dough%20balls).%20%20Bake%20for%2025%20minutes%20and%20voila!%20%20Done!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20took%20the%20rest%20of%20the%20cookie%20bars%20to%20my%20friend%E2%80%99s%20house%20for%20play-date%20and%20left%20them%20there%20for%20her%20family%20to%20devour%20(she%20has%20FOUR%20boys)!%20%20She%20texted%20me%20later%20that%20afternoon:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGooey%20Roasted%20Marshmallow%20M&M%20Cookie%20Bars%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMarshmallows%20are%20baked%20into%20an%20M&M%20cookie%20base,%20making%20the%20perfectly%20toasted%20marshmallow%20gooey%20cookie%20bars.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20oven%20to%20375%20degrees%20F.%20Lightly%20grease%20a%209x13-inch%20baking%20pan%20with%20nonstick%20spray%20(I%20recommend%20Baker's%20Joy).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20large%20mixing%20bowl,%20beat%20together%20the%20butter%20and%20sugars%20until%20creamy,%20about%202%20minutes.%20Add%20the%20eggs,%20one%20at%20a%20time,%20beating%20after%20each%20addition.%20Mix%20in%20the%20vanilla.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20separate%20medium%20bowl,%20whisk%20together%20the%20flour,%20baking%20soda%20and%20salt.%20Gradually%20add%20to%20the%20wet%20ingredients%20and%20beat%20until%20just%20combined.%20Gently%20mix%20in%20the%20M&M's%20until%20evenly%20distributed.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPress%20just%20less%20than%203/4%20of%20the%20cookie%20dough%20evenly%20into%20the%20bottom%20of%20the%20prepared%20baking%20pan.%20Layer%20the%2024%20marshmallows%20into%20the%20pan,%20spacing%20evenly%20into%20a%204x6%20grid.%20Use%20a%20medium%20cookie%20scoop%20or%20ice%20cream%20scoop%20to%20spoon%20dough%20balls%20in%20between%20each%20marshmallow%20in%20the%206-count%20rows,%20creating%2020%20dough%20balls%20(5%20in%20each%20row).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20for%2025%20minutes,%20or%20until%20the%20marshmallows%20and%20cookie%20dough%20are%20dark%20golden%20brown.%20Let%20cool%20before%20slicing%20into%2024%20squares.2.2%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ehttp://www.seededatthetable.com/2014/06/02/gooey-roasted-marshmallow-mm-cookie-bars/%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECopyright%20Seeded%20at%20the%20Table%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
