About me
I am a person of Indian origin, who is currently living in Singapore. I love food from different cuisines, and sometime last year, realised that i have a latent love for baking and cooking as well. This, combined with my love for reading and writing led to my starting my food blog, which serves as my personal virtual sharing space :)
Cooking Influences
I grew up watching my mum cook and bake - and while she would cook Indian dishes for most lunches and dinners, she would try out dishes from different cuisines, modifying them to suit our tates.
My family was vegetarian, but they gave me the freedom to try being non-veg. I was non-vegetarian for a while until sometime in 2006 when i started to go the vegetarian route. Over time, I went vegetarian fully (i dont take meat, seafood and eggs in any form). And hence, my foodie loves and preferences are now slanted towards this preference. I especially hope to be able to overcome the challenge of not using eggs in desserts and create some worthwhile vegetarian delights :)
