When I grill these everyone agrees that they are not your average hamburger. The marinade makes them taste out of this world.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef (85% lean or better)
- 1 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 2/3 cup reduced-sodium beef broth or sherry
- 4 green onion, chopped
- 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
Directions
- Shape ground beef into 6 patties and place into a 9in x 13in dish.
- In a small bowl mix together the soy sauce, broth or sherry, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and onions. Pour 1 cup over the patties: cover and refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade for basting.
- Drain and discard marinade. Grill patties, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 5-7 minutes on each side and juices run clear, basting occasionally with reserved marinade.
- Add cheese and or any of your other favorite toppings like lettuce, and tomato to your hamburger bun and enjoy.
