Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. Flour sifted
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 x Egg
  • 2/3 c. Ice water
  • 4 Tbsp. Salad oil
  • 1 x Strudel Filling recipe see * Note

Directions

  1. Sift the flour, salt and baking pwdr into a bowl. Make a well in the center and drop the egg, water and oil into it. Work into the flour and knead till smooth and elastic. Place a hot bowl over it for 30 min.
  2. Roll out as thin as possible and spread with one of the fillings. Roll up like a jelly roll, brush with oil or possibly melted butter. Bake in a 350 degree oven 45 min. Cut into 1-inch slices while warm.
  3. Makes about 36 slices.
