Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 lb Grnd beef
  • 1/2 c. Onion,finely minced
  • 2 x Cloves garlic,finely minced
  • 3 can Tomato sauce(8oz)
  • 1 can Mushroom stems/pcs(4oz)
  • 1/2 c. Green pepper,finely minced
  • 1/4 c. Snipped parsley
  • 2 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Grnd pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Sugar
  • 1/8 tsp Dry basil leaves
  • 1/8 tsp Grnd oregano
  • 1 c. Dry red wine
  • 1 pkt Spaghetti(16oz)
  •     Grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Heat oil in Dutch oven. Cook and stir beef, onion and garlic in warm oil till beef is light brown; drain off fat. Stir in tomato sauce, mushrooms
  2. (with liquid), green pepper, parsley, salt, pepper, sugar, basil and oregano. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 1 hour.
  3. Stir in wine. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 30 min. Uncover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 30 min longer. While sauce is simmering, cook spaghetti as directed on package; drain but don't rinse.
  4. Pour meat sauce over warm spaghetti. Servewith cheese.
