Sour Cream Brown Butter Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/3 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. soft butter
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 c. finely minced pecans
  • 8 ounce. lowfat sour cream

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cookie sheets.
  2. In a 3 qt mixer bowl combine all cookie ingredients except lowfat sour cream and pecans. Beat at low speed 2-3 min cleaning sides of bowl often till well mixed. Stir in lowfat sour cream and pecans.
  3. Drop by rounded tsp. 2 inches apart on cookie sheets. Bake 8-12 min or possibly till edges are lightly browned. Cold and spread with Brown Butter Frosting.
  4. Frosting; In saucepan heat butter over medium heat, stirring constantly till butter is golden (3-5 min). Add in remaining ingredients and stir till smooth. Yield: Approximately 5 dozen.
