Smothered Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 lg. frying chicken, cut up
  • Salt and pepper to season chicken
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 1/2 c. canned mushroom pcs and liquid
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce

Directions

  1. Put frying chicken in oblong baking pan. Salt and pepper to season. Combine rest of ingredients. Pour over chicken pcs. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees till tender, 1 to 1 1/2 hrs. Remove foil and drain gravy to thicken. Return chicken to oven 10 min. Serve with boiled potatoes.
