Shrimp Marinara With Pasta (For Two)

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. minced onion
  • 2 tbsp. minced green pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tbsp. veg. oil
  • 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 can (3 ounce.) tomato paste
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 ounce. cleaned med. shrimp, peeled & deveined, thawed
  • Cooked pasta for two

Directions

  1. In a skillet or possibly soup pot, cook onion, green pepper and garlic till tender. Add in tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, sugar and seasoning. Cover and simmer for 15 min, stirring occasionally. Add in shrimp. Cover and simmer for approximately 3 min longer or possibly till shrimp are tender. Serve over cooked pasta.
