Sausage & Egg Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients

  • 6 slices day old bread
  • butter
  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded cheese
  • 6 Large eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. half & half
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Remove crusts from bread; spread butter on bread slices. Place in greased 13 x 9 inch pan and set aside. Fry and drain sausage. Spoon over bread slices; sprinkle with cheese. Combine Large eggs, half and half and salt. Mix well. Pour over cheese. Cover casserole and refrigerateovernight. Remove from refrigerator 15 min before baking. Bake casserole, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 45 min. Serves 8 to 12.
