%20that%20I%20discovered%20something%20fantastical.%20I%20love%20you%20Grandma%20but%20these%20Potato%20Chip%20Cookies%20with%20Toasted%20Pecans%20might%20just%20be%20my%20absolute%20favorite%20cookie%20ever.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThey%20don%E2%80%99t%20even%20look%20that%20stupendous;%20they%20barely%20brown%20in%20the%20oven%20and%20they%20have%20no%20ooey%20gooey%20anything%20in%20them%20or%20on%20them.%20But%20they%20skyrocketed%20to%20the%20top%20on%20one%20thing%20only.%20Taste.%20Simply%20the%20perfect%20blend%20of%20buttery,%20crunchy,%20salty,%20pecany%20goodness.%20I%20thought%20I%20might%20drizzle%20some%20chocolate%20on%20them%20one%20day%20but%20I%20so%20do%20not%20want%20to%20do%20anything%20that%20would%20alter%20them%20in%20a%20bad%20way.%20How%20could%20chocolate%20be%20bad?%20Well,%20not%20bad%20but%20not%20sure%20I%20want%20them%20any%20different%20then%20this.%20They%20are%20so%20perfect%20%E2%80%98just%20the%20way%20they%20are.%E2%80%99%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20first%20time%20I%20made%20them%20I%20made%20a%20big%20batch%20but%20only%20baked%20a%20handful%20and%20froze%20the%20rest.%20When%20friends%20dropped%20by%20over%20the%20course%20of%20the%20next%20week,%20I%20removed%20a%20couple%20from%20the%20freezer%20each%20time%20and%20made%20them%20and%20they%20both%20uttered%20almost%20identical%20words,%20%E2%80%98These%20are%20the%20BEST%20cookies%20I%20have%20EVER%20had.%E2%80%99%20Which%20is%20sort%20of%20amazing%20if%20you%20think%20about%20it.%20I%20mean%20really%E2%80%A6where%20is%20the%20booze%20or%20salted%20caramel%20anyhow??%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20wanted%20to%20have%20a%20good%20supply%20to%20keep%20in%20the%20freezer%20so%20this%20recipe%20makes%20a%20lot.%20But%20apparently%20not%20quite%20enough;%20I%E2%80%99m%20dying%20for%20some%20RIGHT%20NOW%20but%20they%20are%20gone.%20Sob.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20good%20news%20is%20that%20I%20bought%20some%20chips%20this%20week%20and%20while%20ostensibly%20I%20thought%20to%20accompany%20sandwiches;%20who%20am%20I%20kidding?%20I%20eat%20a%20lot%20of%20sandwiches%20without%20chips%20but%20I%20can%E2%80%99t%20make%20my%20new%20favorite%20cookie%20without%20them%E2%80%A6ruffled%20or%20ridges%20or%20simply%20plain%20Jane,%20no%20matter,%20they%20are%20SO%20good!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20day%20I%20made%20this%20batch%20my%20neighborhood%20boyfriends%20showed%20up%20at%20the%20front%20door.%20Four%20of%20them.%20Yep,%20that%E2%80%99s%20the%20way%20I%20roll!%20They%20all%20wanted%20to%20come%20in%20and%20visit,%20especially%20when%20they%20heard%20cookies%20might%20be%20in%20the%20mix.%20These%20were%20the%20perfect%20cookie%20for%20helpers.%20Really,%20what%20little%20boy%20doesn%E2%80%99t%20want%20to%20CRUSH%20something%20right?%20They%20crushed,%20they%20rolled,%20they%20smushed,%20they%20ate.%20Not%20sure%20I%20squirreled%20many%20away%20that%20day%20but%20I%20will%20be%20making%20these%20again%20soon.%20Just%20give%20me%20a%20bit%20of%20notice%20to%20get%20some%20in%20the%20oven,%20OK?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECookies%20for%20Santa%E2%80%99s%20Milk%20Drive%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDid%20you%20know%20that%20milk%20is%20one%20of%20the%20most%20requested%20and%20yet%20least%20donated%20food%20to%20food%20banks?%20To%20make%20a%20difference,%20I%E2%80%99m%20participating%20with%20the%20Cookies%20for%20Santa%E2%80%99s%20Milk%20Drive%20campaign%20to%20encourage%20readers%20to%20make%20an%20online%20donation%20of%20just%20one%20gallon%20of%20milk%20for%20those%20in%20need.%20This%20is%20part%20of%20the%20Great%20American%20Milk%20Drive%E2%80%99s%20national%20effort%20and%20it%E2%80%99s%20so%20simple.%20Click%20on%20the%20link%20and%20select%20your%20state%20and%20choose%20your%20donation%20amount%20and%20your%20donation%20will%20be%20distributed%20to%20a%20food%20bank%20that%20will%20help%20someone%20in%20your%20own%20community.%20Won%E2%80%99t%20you%20join%20me?%20You%20can%20donate%20as%20little%20as%20$5%20to%20insure%20kids%20have%20milk%20on%20the%20table.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20entire%20dairy%20industry%20from%20dairy%20farmers%20to%20dairy%20processors%20has%20come%20together%20and%20joined%20with%20Feeding%20America%20food%20banks%20to%20help%20get%20milk%20to%20those%20who%20need%20it%20most.%20Please%20feel%20free%20to%20share;%20those%20of%20us%20so%20fortunate%20to%20not%20have%20to%20worry%20about%20milk%20and%20cookies%20can%20make%20a%20big%20difference%20this%20holiday%20season!%20Hashtag%20%23%E2%80%8ESantasmilkdrive%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBarbPotato%20Chip%20Cookies%20with%20Toasted%20Pecans%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESave%20Recipe%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20cup%20confectioner's%20sugar%20for%20dusting%20cookies.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInstructions%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20oven%20to%20350%C2%B0.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECream%20butter%20and%20sugar%20in%20a%20large%20mixing%20bowl%20until%20light%20and%20fluffy.%20Add%20vanilla%20and%20beat%20in%20well.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECombine%20flour%20and%20salt%20if%20using%20and%20whisk%20together.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGradually%20add%20flour%20mixture%20to%20creamed%20mixture%
