Ingredients

  • 6 pork chops or possibly pork steaks
  • Pepper and salt
  • 2 (16 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 c. uncooked rice
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Sprinkle meat with salt and pepper. Brown meat in hot shortening; drain. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.In a 1 1/2-quart greased baking dish, put together tomatoes with liquid, rice, butter, and 1 tsp salt. Arrange meat over rice. Bake for 1 hour or possibly till meat is tender. Serves 4.
