Ingredients

  • 6 pork chops
  • 2 tbsp. Crisco
  • 1 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
  • 1 can sliced mushroom
  • 2 tbsp. diced pimento
  • 3 c. warm water

Directions

  1. Brown chops in Crisco. Spread rice in bottom of 9x13 inch dish. Reserve 1 Tbsp. soup mix. Sprinkle remainder over rice. Put pimento and mushrooms on rice. Place chops on top and sprinkle reserved soup mix over them. Add in water. Cover tightly with foil and bake in oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
