Peanut Butter and Banana Overnight Oats Recipe

Ingredients

  • You can eat overnight oats cold or warmed
  • (warm in the microwave 1-2 minutes)
  • You can use any jar with a tight fitting lid
  • (pickle, jam, or canning jars work great)
  • Peanut Butter and Banana Overnight Oats
  • 2 cups old fashion oats
  • 2 cups skim milk
  • 1/2 cup natural creamy peanut butter
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds, optional
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1-2 Tbsp honey
  • 2 bananas (used the day of eating)
  • Recipe lightly adapted from: The Art of Comfort Baking
  • Basic Recipe for Overnight Oats in a Jar
  • Serves 1
  • One clean jar with lid
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup rolled oats, (fill 1/2 of the jar with oats)
  • 1-2 tsp chia seeds, optional but good for you
  • 1 cup milk, soy milk, almond milk, coconut milk
  • 2 Tbsp nuts and/or seeds
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon and/or other spices
  • 1-2 tsp sweetener, honey, agave syrup, maple syrup
