  • 500 gm Rice
  • 3 x Oranges
  • 1 lt Lowfat milk
  • 300 gm Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Orange essence, (2 ml.)
  •     A handful of mixed dry fruits, minced, for garnishing
  • 1 sht silver varakh.

Directions

  1. Using citrus juicer, extract orange juice and keep aside. 2. Wash and soak the rice for half an hour. Drain out the water. Grind the rice to a fine paste. Bring the lowfat milk to a boil. Add in the rice paste and keep stirring constantly. Cook until done and the lowfat milk it thick. Add in sugar and stir well.
  2. When cold, add in orange juice and orange essence and mix well. Set in clay pots. Garnish with minced dry fruits. Decorate with silver foil. Serve chilled.
