Ingredients
- 3 x Oranges, boiled in plain water for an hour
- 325 gm Sugar
- 1 x 375 gram who almonds
- 6 x Large eggs
- 1 tsp Baking pwdr
- 6 x Oranges, zest and juiced
- 1 x Lemon, juice only
- 150 gm Sugar
- 4 fl ounce water
Directions
- Blend almonds till bready and crumbly. Blend oranges till smooth. Beat the Large eggs and sugar till pale and add in other 3 ingredients. Mix well and bake in a buttered tin at 225C for just over an hour, or possibly till a skewer comes out cleanly.
- Meanwhile, boil all the syrup ingredients till dissolved and slightly thickened. Serve with the syrup cool and some mascarpone cheese or possibly thick cream.
