  • 2 x oranges - (1/2 lb ea) rinsed
  • 6 c. refrigerated canned or possibly
  •     frzn reconstituted pineapple juice
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh ginger
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 bot dry white wine - (750 ml)
  •     (such as Fume Blanc or possibly Sauvignon Blanc)
  • 1 bot Muscat dessert wine - (375 ml)
  •     (such as Moscato d'Asti, Moscato Canelli, Essencia, or possibly Electra)

Directions

  1. Trim and throw away ends from oranges. Cut fruit crosswise into 1/4-inch-thick slices, discarding seeds. Put fruit in a 5- to 6-qt pan. Add in pineapple juice, ginger, and sugar. Bring to a boil on high heat; cover and simmer on low heat to blend flavors, about 15 min.
  2. Add in dry white wine and Muscat wine; heat till steaming, about 5 min. Don't boil.
  3. Keep punch hot over lowest heat; ladle into c..
