Mother's Lemon Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken, cut into pcs
  • 3-4 tbsp. butter
  • 2/3 c. lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 c. Worcestershire
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • Garlic salt
  • Cornstarch to thicken if you like

Directions

  1. Heat butter in electric skillet and brown chicken sprinkled with garlic salt. Mix lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar. Add in cornstarch if desired thicker sauce. Pour over chicken. Cover and simmer 30 to 45 min.
  2. Mix cornstarch with cool water to heat before adding.
  3. I double the liquids and sugar and pour the extra liquid over white rice.
