Ingredients

  • 2 Cups all purpose flour
  • 2 Cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 3/4 Cup baking cocoa powder
  • 1 Cup oil
  • 1 Cup butter milk
  • 3 Large eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup water

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F grease two ten inch spring form pan, sift flour sugar baking powder baking soda, cocoa powder and salt in a medium bowl. Using a stand mixer, attach the whip and mix the eggs oil, vanilla together on medium speed until combined, mix in butter milk, add dry ingredients to the mixture, reduce speed to low, add water until combined, the mixture will be thin.Evenly divide the cake mix between two ten inch spring form pans. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes
  2. inserted a cake tester or a tooth pick, if it comes out clean remove cakes from oven and set on a wire rack, let cool in pan completely. Remove cake from pans, to level the cakes use a slicer or a serrated knife to cut off the top of cakes, place one cake on a cake stand and cover with chocolate cream cheese frosting, top the second layer and spread remaining of frosting over top and side using a decorating comb or spatula.
