Ingredients
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup butter melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup pecans or walnuts
- BOURBON SAUCE
- 1 cup sugar
- 6 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 tablespoon bourbon or whatever amount is good for you. I use Woodford Reserve, made in Kentucky!
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon white corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
