Jasmine Tea Jelly Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. gelatin
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 3 c. brewed Jasmine tea still warm
  • 1/2 tsp liquid sweetener
  • 1 Tbsp. Splenda
  • 4 tsp lemon juice

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the 2 Tbsp. water. Let stand till softened.
  2. Microwave the gelatin in 30-second increments till liquid. Stir into the tea along with the sweetener, Splenda and lemon juice.
  3. Pour into 6 small dessert dishes or possibly teacups and let set in the fridge for at least 4 hrs.
  4. This recipe yields 6 servings.
  5. Comments: This jelly is softly set and silky. I really enjoy the balance of the slightly bitter tea, lemon, and sweet flavors, that makes it more of a palate refresher than a sweet. Serve it after a meal with oriental flavors. It looks very good served in a small teacup. Jasmine green tea is especially lovely in this dessert.
