Hot Water Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 2 squares chocolate, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 T warm water

Directions

  1. Cream sugar and shortening thoroughly. Blend in melted chocolate. Beat in one egg at a time till all used. Stir in vanilla and lowfat milk. Fold in flour, soda and salt. Add in hot water. Bake in a 9x13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 35 min.
