Hot Crabmeat & Artichoke Dip

Ingredients

  • 1/4 pound unsalted butter
  • 1 onion, finely minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 5-6 green onions, finely minced
  • 1 pt. half & half
  • 1 pound lump crabmeat
  • 1 (13 3/4 ounce.) can artichoke hearts, liquid removed & quartered
  • 1/4 c. white wine
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Heat butter in heavy saucepan. Saute/fry onion and garlic about 5 min. Stir in flour gradually. Cook over low heat 3-5 min. Add in green onions. Cook 1-2 min. Add in half & half and stir constantly over low heat till mix begins to thicken. Add in crabmeat and artichokes, wine, salt and pepper. Cook 5-10 min. Serve warm with crackers.
